Finally the long awaited Maxis MMS is here. Available for Maxis postpaid
customers.

To sign up:

After that, you'll receive a WAP GPRS setting on your phone. Save it.
There'll be another SMS saying :

Welcome! You have successfully registered for Maxis picture messaging
service. You can now send and receive picture messages any time and
anywhere. Sender: (not available) Sent: [time] [date]

After sending a picture message out, what the...

You have received a picture message from 6012[phone number]. To view, visit
[url]http://mms.maxis.net.my[/url]. Login with your mobile 6012[phone number] and your
password is ******.

And this [url]http://mms.maxis.net.my[/url] takes ages to load.

After login, you'll need some Real Player to see the MMS. And the lame Real
Player connection always timed out...

You can forward the MMS to another Maxis user. I forwarded it from the net
back to my own phone and I got my own pic back.

What lah... anytime anywhere my...

After activating this that those...

I tried to send an MMS to myself...

Hey! It works! It works! Direct MMS sending! No need to login to internet
to do that forward thingy anymore!

They will send the password to you in SMS.

Since I already have my GPRS set up.. I chose MMS right? I then received an
SMS from MAXIS and I accepted it..So now I have a MAXIS MMS profile. I
didn't get any sms after that.

What am I missing?

you should wait for the password. then login and forward and fooling
around... then all of a sudden, you'll be able to send/receive instant mms,
like me.

Ldragon: not sure.. have to try it out.. 1KB = 1000 character = RM0.015

Ldragon: just now i only send "hello" to my self and it's already 1174 +
808 = 2KB !! 3 cent!!!

Dr. Liew: one 'hello' is only 5 bytes ler

Ldragon: but i check my last data session is 1174bytes +808bytes

Dr. Liew: maybe some header and footer thingy *send MMS to Ldragon*

Ldragon: yup

Dr. Liew: *receive MMS* got?

Ldragon: yup

Dr. Liew: great

Ldragon: MMS information 4KB GPRS last session: 7173 bytes + 847 bytes =
8KB (12 cent!!) just to receive your MMS ...blood suking machine!

Ldragon: your msg on 4KB and the header is another 4KB ?? hmmmm

Dr. Liew: the pic is 3k

Ldragon: still cheaper compare to SMS RM0.20 cent each right?

Dr. Liew: yup

Ldragon: anyway to retrive MMS from the phone to PDA?

You can save the pic to the gallery or folder and transfer to PC. But I
don't think MobiMB has the ability to transfer MMS text to PC.

BTW, now that we can send picture around, what about midi/polyphonic
ringtone?
